The local writing model ships with the product so the app does not depend on LM Studio, a localhost server, or a separate user-managed runtime.

Endozia is built to run on your machine with your project files staying with you during actual writing work.

Hardware and platform note
We want to be direct about this.
Endozia is designed for Windows and has been built, tested, and tuned around the hardware we recommend. We're actively working to test new configurations across different hardware and GPUs. It is highly recommended that you use the suggested hardware — when we expand support to other GPU manufacturers or platforms, updates will be posted on lindsayforge.com.

The install is heavier once so the workflow stays simple later.
Install once
Expect roughly a 15 GB one-time install footprint for the packaged application and local models.
No follow-up downloads
After install, the point is to have the product ready to run without asking you to go find a separate AI tool or model package.
No external accounts required
You do not need an AI service account just to use the software you bought on your own machine.
No LM Studio step
Endozia is meant to run as Endozia, not as a shell waiting on LM Studio at localhost:1234.
Updates policy
Clearer ownership, fewer surprises.
All updates for the current version are included with purchase. Future major versions may be offered as a separate release. We would rather say that plainly now than overpromise and turn around later.

Why this product exists the way it does.
I built Endozia as a gift to my wife. And by extension, as a gift to anyone who uses it. My intention was never to get rich off this software. I value my time — I think what I've built is worth something — but the goal was never to endlessly extract money from you.
